Project Love ❤️ 💕 💗 October 2023 We purchased  the children some school shoes. This way they are in perfect dress for school. Thank you to those who participated in this love project !!!! The center was beyond words . They are so greatful that God brought us to them . We are an answer to there prayers !!! Please consider future projects to help them !!!! Thank you God for letting us be on this journey serving you !!!!       Cistern Project / Clean 💦 💧 water We are very excited to be doing a clean water project in Haiti …. We are very excited to impact the community of children in another region of Haiti that needs love and resources. We will impact over 400 children with this project daily . Every child deserves clean watt!!!Thank you to National Marine and a few very generous donors.   The yachting community has done so much over the years for the Childrens Home in Bombardpolis. The generosity and support we have witnessed has been nothing short of a miracle. We vowed that the home we were all in,  for the long run. We pray The Children's Home will continue to evolve to comfortable home and sustain the quality of life the children deserve. The children are so grateful for each and every project that has been funded and completed. We pray they continue to prospere. Hurricane Relief Effort: In the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, National Marine Suppliers, MPT Maritime Professional Training, Yacht Rentals, IGY Marinas, and the Yachting Industry have banded together to assist Emmanuel Children's Home Foundation of Haiti,a us nonprofitwho supported a orphanage and the surrounding village in Bombardopolis, Haiti. They were in dire need of assistance and we prioritized the supplies into different phases for our relief effort:  1) Urgent Aid: Food, medicine, tents, blankets, tarps, cleaning supplies, toiletries, and personal hygiene items. 2) Rebuild: Mattresses, pillows, building materials, plumbing fixtures, tools, screens, gas stoves, and propane. 3) Continued Care: School supplies, clothes, shoes, toys, bedding, home supplies and furniture.    The initial Urgent Aid shipments of food & supplies that were donated for  Haiti Orphanage for the Hurricane Relief & Rebuild Project were sent over and well received. The shipment included batteries to power the orphanage and the surrounding area. The fresh water was desperately needed to help fight the Cholera outbreak after the storm. The children received lots of food, clothes, bedding and much needed necessities. The children are now able to eat three meals a day versus rations of one meal daily.  We would like to thank Bert & Charlie from IGY Marinas for donating ten mattresses, the staff of Maritime Professional Training for donating over 60 brand new beautiful pillows and giving us some great ideas for the children of Haiti Orphan House, and special thanks to the crew at Yachty Rentals. Drop Off Locations were set up at National Marine Suppliers, Maritime Professional Training, and Yachty Rentals and helped us to collect all of the needed items! A HUGE thank you to our staff for helping donate and pack these items to be sent over, and to all of our yachty friends and customers for your generosity toward the children.        Battery Drop October 2016: When we first made contact with the home they urgently needed 16 new batteries to help get their water well back up and running. We reached out to the Marine Industry and Lauderdale Battery came to the rescue. While shipping took longer than we had hoped the batteries arrived and were ready to be installed as soon as the solar panels were repaired. This well will not only provide drinking water for the home and missionaries but also for the surrounding town of Bombardopolis.    Temporary Building/Housing & Lanterns October 2016 The response in South Florida was swift and effective within days we had gathered tarps, tents and hurricane supplies to address the initial needs and go to alleviate the immediate housing needs of the children after certain buildings were deemed unsafe to occupy. Motor Yacht Cheers 46 donated tents and tarps, MPT pillows and supplies, IGY Marinas gave mattresses (to name just a few of those that gave).   NMS Food Drive October November 2016 After Hurricane Matthew the Marine Industries in South Florida held a food drive that was urgently needed, their food stocks had been spoiled during the storm. In a short space of time we were able to gather and ship many pallets of food to help their urgent need as the children were starving. Thank you National Marine Suppliers, MPT, Yacht Rentals and all of the other Yachts and companies that made this happen.      Christmas Toy Collection December 2016 We included the children in Haiti into our usual Christmas Toy Drive. Donations of unwrapped toys for children ages infant to 18 years old were accepted at National Marine Suppliers, Maritime Professional Training, and Yacht Rentals drop off locations in the hopes of raising the holiday spirits of children at local hospitals and the children at The Children's Home  of Haiti. Toys took longer than expected to get there but the children were delighted to receive their gifts! Thank you to everyone who helped donate to make Christmas brighter for them!        Bunk Beds & Bedding April 2017 We held a bedding collection at National Marine Suppliers and Yachty Rentals. Maritime Professional training held an interoffice contest to see who could donate the most pillows. IGY Marinas made a very generous donation of the needed mattresses. Items were all collected and then shipped to Haiti. Contractors and missionaries volunteered their time and efforts to help build new bunk beds for the children's dormitories on-site. The children themselves even pitched in to help the builders as they worked. Frames were constructed and the everything was moved into the rooms and the beds were made. Many of the children have never had a proper bed to sleep on before and these simple luxuries will help them to sleep better at night!
